Family Medicine Residency Program

Welcome to the KPC Health Family Medicine Residency Program at Hemet Global Medical Center

The KPC Health Family Medicine Residency Program is a newly accredited residency program in Southern California that started in 2019 and has a complement of 18 residents.

The experience at our residency program is unlike any other. Residents have the unique opportunity to work with a diverse underserved community and develop the skills needed to address these populations. Our affiliations with Borrego Health – San Jacinto Health Center and Riverside University Health Center help to round out the program’s goals of training culturally competent physicians.

The continuity clinic is based out of our San Jacinto Health Center and offers residents the chance to train at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). At the continuity clinic, residents serve varying populations which include immigrants, the homeless, and the uninsured. The program is dedicated to providing these patients with team-based care and we are looking for residents who share the same values.

CURRICULUM

Our Family Medicine Residency Program was developed with its mission in mind: to train competent, compassionate physicians who are well versed in the care of underserved communities while also striving to focus on Family Medicine-Centered education.

While in our 36-month program, residents will have the opportunity to treat patients that are part of a diverse patient population and be taught by physicians who are experts in their field. The Family Medicine Practice Continuity Clinic is part of an FQHC that provides patient care to the underserved/underinsured community. Residents will gain understanding in treating patients from this group type. Residents will graduate from our program with confidence in knowing they received the training needed to provide excellent care to their patients.
